SVA overview
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a not-for-profit organisation that works with partners to alleviate disadvantage – towards an Australia where all people and communities thrive.
We influence systems to deliver better social outcomes for people by learning about what works in communities, helping organisations be more effective, sharing our perspectives and advocating for change.
SVA Values
As a purpose-driven organisation, our values guide who we are, how we work and the decisions we make.
We're looking for a highly organised, proactive and confident Executive Assistant to the CEO to become a trusted partner to our CEO while also playing a critical role coordinating and supporting SVA's Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
This is not a traditional EA role. While you'll provide exceptional executive support to the CEO, you'll also act as the central coordination point for our ELT, helping drive organisational priorities, track key actions, coordinate governance processes and ensure important decisions are translated into action across the organisation.
If you're someone who enjoys operating at the heart of a purpose-driven organisation, loves bringing order to complexity, and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, we'd love to hear from you.
As the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Executive Coordinator to the ELT, you'll:
Manage the CEO's complex diary, travel and administrative priorities.
Coordinate ELT meetings, agendas, papers, action logs and follow-up activities.
Support communication between the CEO, ELT, Board and key stakeholders.
Drive accountability by tracking actions, commitments and strategic priorities across the organisation.
Assist with Board and governance administration in partnership with the Company Secretary.
Prepare briefings, reports, correspondence and presentations.
Build trusted relationships across SVA and act as a key point of connection between teams.
At SVA, you'll join a purpose-driven organisation where your work directly supports leaders tackling some of Australia's most important social challenges. You'll work alongside passionate, talented people who are committed to creating lasting positive impact for communities across Australia.
We offer:
Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
A collaborative and values-led culture
Professional development opportunities
The opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and gain exposure across the organisation
Meaningful work that contributes to positive social change
Desired Skills and Experience
You'll bring to the role:
Experience supporting a CEO, Executive Director or senior executive.
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail.
Excellent judgement, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
Experience coordinating actions, projects or executive team priorities would be highly regarded.
